IAS officer Sanjay Kumar Singh has been facing a backlash for reprimanding a headmaster of a primary school for wearing a kurta pajama and telling him he looks like a politician rather than a teacher.
After the video triggered backlash on social media, DM Sanjay Kumar Singh posted a new video on Twitter, issuing a clarification, in which he accepted that he took exception to Nirbhay Kumar Singh's attire and said that he has no problem with kurta pajama.

The IAS officer in his video said, "I am not against kurta pajama but two buttons of kurta were open. The way the headmaster kept a gamacha did not appear to be that of a teacher, who is seen as a role model by students. He is free to wear anything he wants when he is not on duty, but must be careful with his code of conduct at school. People should not see just a clip of the video. If they watch the entire video, they will understand the entire situation."
