
Lakhimpur violence case | Two arrested for lynching BJP workers

One of the arrested was allegedly raising slogans wearing a Bhindranwale T-shirt, standing next to Additional SP of Lakhimpur Arun Kumar Singh on the day of violence.
The UP Police on Tuesday, October 26, arrested two persons for the lynching of two BJP workers and a journalist during the Lakhimpur Kheri violence on October 3. One of the two accused arrested by the Lakhimpur Crime Branch was allegedly wearing a T-shirt sporting Jarnail Singh Bhindranwale's image at the time of the violence.
The accused were identified as Gurvinder, alias Binda, and Vichitra Singh. Gurvinder was allegedly raising slogans wearing a Bhindranwale T-shirt, standing next to Additional SP of Lakhimpur Arun Kumar Singh on the day of violence. The photo went viral on social media.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
