Lack of genomic sequencing of the novel coronavirus genomes in India led to the spread of the Delta variant across the world, top epidemiologist professor Eric Feigl-Ding has said. “India has to do more genomic sequencing. Not doing this enough led to the spread of the Delta variant all over the world,” professor Eric Feigl-Ding said. The Delta variant, which was behind the rise in Covid cases in India, the UK and Singapore, has now spread to other parts of the world, which has experts worried.
