Collector D.K. Balaji reviews arrangements for PM Modi's visit, ensuring facilities and security measures are in place for VIPs.
Collector D.K. Balaji reviewed the arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit on May 2. He will arrive at Gannavaram Airport and travel to Velagapudi.
Mr. Balaji, along with Krishna district Superintendent of Police R. Gangadhar Rao, Joint Collector Geetanjali Sharma, and Airport Assistant Manager Srilekha held a preparatory meeting with Revenue, Airport, Police, Medical and Health, AP-Transco and other department officers on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, the Collector said that Governors, Union Ministers and other VIPs were likely to arrive at the airport, along with Mr. Modi.
“Uninterrupted power supply, drinking water and facilities should be provided. The airport authorities shall send messages to the general passengers to reach in advance and take measures to avoid any inconvenience to the passengers who booked tickets on various flights,” Mr. Balaji said.
Duties would be allotted to the district-level officers and duty passes would be issued to the officers, the Collector said.

Meanwhile, the NTR Commissionerate police conducted checks in the lodges in Vijayawada on Saturday.
