Kolkata police to focus more on wanderers, errant bikers as night curbs return today

As per reports, late night bikers emerged as the biggest violators of traffic rules during the 10-day Puja relaxation in Kolkata.

Kolkata police is planning to focus more on late night wanderers, especially bikers, as they emerged as the biggest violators of traffic rules in the city. Around 1,063 bikes were seized by the Kolkata police during the Durga Puja relaxation period.

Reportedly, most of these prosecutions took place only after 11 PM and several of the seized bikes not even had proper documents, which led to seizures under Section 207 of the Motor Vehicles Act.
