Khalistani terrorist planned to bomb Mumbai locals, 'no RDX in Maharashtra,' says anti-terror squad

To best of our knowledge, RDX is not in Maharashtra, said an ATS official after agencies suspected that a Khalistani-based terrorist sent a consignment to Nanded via sleeper cell.
After the arrest of four terrorists in Karnal, it has come to light that an RDX consignment was sent by Khalistan terrorist Harvinder Singh Rinda through his sleeper cell in Nanded in March.
According to investigative agencies, there was a plan for serial blasts on passenger and Mumbai local trains.
However, when India Today spoke to a senior official of Maharashtra ATS, he said, "To the best of our knowledge, the RDX is not in Maharashtra."
Agencies believe that Rinda is currently in Islamabad. According to Nanded SP Pramod Shewale, "Rinda's gang runs an extortion racket. They make calls for extortion and attack if the ransom is not paid. Out of 50 of his associates, 17 are in jail, some are out on bail and some are absconding. Multiple cases are registered against Rinda and his gang for extortion and murder."
A team of Nanded police has reached Karnal for further inquiry.
Searches were conducted at Rinda's house and farm on Friday.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.
