Kesha isn't just here to dance, folks.
The Grammy-nominated pop singer announced her upcoming concert tour, The Freedom Tour, on Monday, March 23. The musical outing follows the release of her sixth album, "Period," last summer, as well as The Tits Out Tour, a coheadlining tour with pop group Scissor Sisters that wrapped on Saturday.
"This summer, we are reclaiming our bodies, our voices and our joy," Kesha, 39, said in a statement. "We have survived. Now we get to be free. Let's be free together. I want to know what freedom feels like, with all of you."
Kesha, who burst onto the music scene in the early 2010s with her brand of rowdy dance-pop, has increasingly taken creative control following the 2023 legal settlement between her and producer Dr. Luke, whom she previously accused of drugging and sexually assaulting her.
In 2014, the singer sued her former collaborator (real name Łukasz Gottwald) on allegations of sexual harassment and emotional distress. Dr. Luke countersued for defamation and breach of contract.
