Jason Momoa gave a family update after being impacted by severe flooding on Oahu and shared resources for victims of the devastating Hawaii storms.
Jason Momoa is speaking out about severe flooding in Hawaii due to back-to-back storms that prompted evacuations, damaged homes and roads, and caused power outages across the islands.
The "Chief of War" star, who was born in Honolulu, took to his Instagram stories to share that he and his family evacuated from Oahu's North Shore and were safe.
"I got my family with me. We got out of the North Shore; a lot of people have been asking," he said, according to a recording shared by TMZ. "Our power went off, [and] we're safe for now, but there's a lot of people who weren't, so we’re sending all our love."
The "Aquaman" star continued: "North Shore is pretty gnarly right now. So just love and hopefully everyone's safe and getting out, and we'll get together and figure out how we help everyone."
Evacuation notices in Hawaii have been lifted after catastrophic flooding prompted evacuation alerts in parts of the state, but flood watches remain in place for most of March 22. Excessive rain caused torrents of water to wash out homes, damage roads, and threaten to burst a dam, sparking an emergency evacuation of thousands in Oahu on March 20.
