A government school teacher in Kerala has been arrested for sexually assaulting his students. The school teacher has been arrested twice before for a similar offence in the past nine years.
Ashraf, a native of Vallikunnu in the Malappuram district of Kerala, is a teacher at a Lower Primary Schoo in the Tanur Police station area in the Malappuram district. He was arrested on Friday under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
