
Kerala Police officer suspended for leaking information to SDPI workers

Anaz, a Civil Police Officer in Kerala’s Idukki district, was suspended and subsequently transferred to the district headquarters for leaking information about BJP-RSS workers to SDPI members.
Civil Police Officer (CPO) Anaz, working at Karimannoor police station in Thodupuzha, Kerala’s Idukki district, was suspended for leaking information to Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) members. The leak was discovered when a few SDPI workers in custody were questioned by the police.
The workers were taken into custody for attacking a Kerala government bus conductor in Mangattukavala over alleged communal posts. During the interrogation, they revealed their source.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
