The Kerala government has decided to impose stricter restrictions throughout the state to prevent crowding and the spread of Covid-19 during New Year celebrations. The restrictions will remain in place till January 2.
The Kerala government has decided to impose stricter restrictions throughout the state from Thursday, December 30, until January 2. This step has been taken to prevent the spread of Covid-19. A night curfew has also been imposed from 10 pm to 5 am.
During the period, only essential movements will be permitted. A self-declaration form should be carried if a person is travelling after 10 pm.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
