Kerala Chief Minister Pinnarayi Vijayan slammed Union Minister Muraleedharan for taking part in the door-to-door campaign taken out by the BJP against the SilverLine project in the state.
Despite protests against Kerala’s SilverLine rail project, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan is trying to assuage the fears of the people. He has stated that a final decision on the alignment would be taken based on the report on the social impact assessment.
The CM said that people who are giving their land for the project should have no apprehensions. He added that the government would grant massive compensation. He further slammed the door-to-door campaign of the BJP against the SilverLine project, in which union minister V Muraleedharan had taken part.
“The PM has a positive outlook on the project and now a minister under him is behaving like this, which is shameful," he said. The CM said that the government will implement all projects assured in the manifesto and create employment for 20 lakh people.
The CM was speaking at the first anniversary celebrations of the second Left Democratic Front (LDF) government. He said the social impact study will continue and that all people concerned should allow the process to continue.
