
Kerala actor Dileep to be questioned again in assault case

Kerala actor Dileep is set to be questioned again by the investigation team probing the 2017 actor assault case. Dileep is the eighth accused in the case.
Kerala actor Dileep will reportedly be questioned again by the investigation team probing the abduction-assault case based on new evidence. The police officials will summon Dileep following statements made by director Balachandrakumar before the trial court.
The case pertains to an incident in 2017 where a female actor was kidnapped and assaulted allegedly on the behest of Dileep. The incident was also recorded to be used as blackmail material against the survivor. Dileep is the eighth accused in the case.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
