A 2-year old child is in a critical condition after he was admitted to the hospital with severe injuries all over his body, including on head.
A two-year-old child has been admitted to a hospital in Kerala with severe injuries. The Kerala Police suspect the child’s family of inflicting the injuries on him.
The infant was first admitted to a private hospital in Pazhanganad before being shifted to Kolenchery Medical College on Sunday. The child has serious injuries all over the body and on the head.
As per the police, the mother and grandmother's statements on how the child came to be so severely injured are not believable. Moreover, a man, identified as Anthony Tijin, escaped from the flat where the victim lived on the night he was taken to the hospital. The Police believe these all to be suspicious and suspect the family of cover-up.

Anthony Tijin, who is the partner of child's aunt, reportedly escaped with her from the flat at 2 am, as per CCTV visuals. The visuals collected by the police showed the two carrying bags with them.
Kerala Police said that the family had lied to the flat owners that Anthony Tijin was the aunt’s husband. However, the police confirmed that Anthony Tijin is not married to the victim’s aunt. He is a former cyber police officer who left the job because he got a job in Canada, officials said.
Meanwhile, the child is in a critical condition and has been suffering from fits. His condition has not improved since he was admitted on Sunday.
