
Kasturi Ranga Iyengar Charitable Trust donates e-carts to Oppiliappan Temple, govt. hospital

The Kasturi Ranga Iyengar Charitable Trust, Chennai, supported by Kasturi & Sons Ltd (publishers of The Hindu and The Hindu Tamil Thisai) on Saturday donated e-carts to the Oppiliappan temple and the Kumbakonam Government Hospital to help improve sanitation and hygiene.
The Kasturi Ranga Iyengar Charitable Trust, Chennai, supported by Kasturi & Sons Ltd (publishers of The Hindu and The Hindu Tamil Thisai) on Saturday donated e-carts to the Oppiliappan temple and the Kumbakonam Government Hospital to help improve sanitation and hygiene.
The carts were provided to clear and dispose garbage and help maintain clean and safe environment at the temple and the hospital.
While two e-carts were presented to Sri Venkatachalapathy Swamy temple, popularly known as Oppiliappan temple, at Thirunageswaram near Kumbakonam, three e-carts were handed over to the authorities of the Government District Headquarters hospital at Kumbakonam by trust chairperson Dr. Nalini Krishnan and trustees Vijaya Arun and Krupa.
The trust donated 15 sewing machines to women beneficiaries at Innambur village near Kumbakonam.

The Shakespeare Millennium Club in collaboration with the Annai Velankanni Church (Society of St. Vincent De Paul), conducted a Free Medical Camp on November 23, 2025 at the church premises from 9 am to 6 pm, with Dr. Samundi Sankari and Dr. Divya Sivaraman of Srushti Hospitals, Dr. Sharada L N of Aramba, the Kumaran Dental Clinic, Lychee and Satya Physiotherapy Centre, according to a press release.
