A Kashmiri youth from Srinagar's Shalamar area has embarked on a 900-km-long yatra on foot to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The die-hard fan of Narendra Modi says it his dream to meet the prime minister. A college dropout, Faheem Nazir works as an electrician. He became an admirer of PM Modi a few years ago when the prime minister stopped speaking for some time at a rally as 'Azaan' started playing from a nearby mosque.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
