
Karnataka to give boosters to people above 65, frontline workers from January 10

Karnataka health minister K Sudhakar announced that booster shots against Covid will be provided to people above 65 and frontline workers from January 10.
Karnataka health minister Dr K Sudhakar confirmed on Friday, January 7, that booster shots against Covid will be provided to people above 65 and frontline workers. This programme will be launched on January 10.
After meeting officials on Friday, Dr K Sudhakar said, “We've given some responsibilities to certain officials to manage the Covid situation. These officials have handled the previous two Covid waves.”

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
