A priest and four others were detained on the basis of a complaint filed by the parents of a 10-year-old in rural Bengaluru. The couple alleged that their daughter was kidnapped by a gang of five who tried to sacrifice the minor to ward off evil spirits.
Five people, including a priest, were held in rural Bengaluru on Sunday for allegedly trying to sacrifice a 10-year-old girl to “ward off evil spirits” in an agricultural field. The police registered a case against the five accused under the Karnataka Prevention and Eradication of Inhuman Evil Practices and Black Magic Bill, kidnapping and criminal intimidation, as per a report in The New Indian Express.More Related News
