Karnataka govt wants iconic Balabrooie Guest House converted into Constitution Club 

The state government has decided to convert the heritage Balabrooie Guest House into Constitution Club years after the plan was shelved under public pressure. 

After intense pressure to drop the idea of converting the heritage Balabrooie Guest House into the Constitution Club years ago, the present state government has decided to set the club in the same heritage building premises.

On Monday, Assembly speaker Vishweshwar Hegde Kageri said the proposed structure will be similar to the Constitution Club of India, in New Delhi, and will be taken up without making major changes to the heritage building.
