Mysore BJP MP Pratap Simha said, “The government should protect livelihood. Curfew, lockdown should not be implemented and trouble people’s life. Precaution should be taken in hospitals for beds. Rather don't close businesses and think of peoples plight and take decisions.”

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
