
Karnataka: BBMP issues showcause notices to hospitals over non-availability of beds

The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) on Sunday served notices to Colombia Asia hospital, Fortis hospital, Baptist hospital, Vikram hospital & Aster CMI hospital, asking them to comply with the government order to allot 50 per cent beds for Covid patients.
As Covid cases continue to surge across Karnataka, hospitals have reported a shortage of beds across the state. In Bengaluru, for the last few days, civic officials have been swamped with complaints regarding the non-availability of beds in the hospitals across the city.
