Kamal Haasan's Vikram earns over Rs 200 crore even before release, highest in Ulaganayagan's career

Kamal Haasan's Vikram collected over Rs 200 crore from the satellite and OTT rights. The film, directed by Lokesh Kangaraj, will release in theatres on June 3.

Kamal Haasan's Vikram is just a few days away from release. The film collected over Rs 200 crore even before it could hit the theatres. According to trade reports, Vikram's satellite and OTT rights (in multiple languages) were sold for record prices. In fact, Vikram's pre-release business is the highest in Kamal Haasan's career. Vikram is one of the most anticipated films.

Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Vikram will release in theatres on June 3. The film also features Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles.

Trade analyst Ramesh Bala took to Twitter to inform that Vikram earned over Rs 200 crore in the pre-release business. He wrote, "#Vikram / #VikramHitlist - Highest Pre-release Business for #KamalHaasan. More than Rs 200 Crs+ including Satellite and OTT in Multiple Languages (sic)."

Vikram is tipped to be a violent action thriller featuring Kamal Haasan, Vijay Sethupathi and Fahadh Faasil in lead roles. The film is bankrolled by Raaj Kamal Films International. Narain, Kalidas Jayaram, Harish Uthaman and Arjun Das form the supporting cast, while Suriya has been roped in to play a cameo in the film. Anirudh Ravichander composed the music for the film.
