John Oliver’s Unfiltered Reaction To Old Fox News Interview With Stephen Miller Says It All

The "Last Week Tonight" host also pointed out a massive hypocrisy from the Trump White House deputy chief of staff.
John Oliver devoted the main segment of Sunday’s “Last Week Tonight” to Donald Trump’s “war on education,” focusing on the president’s attacks and attempted shake-downs of universities such as Harvard.
One of the right’s most recycled talking points, Oliver noted, is that universities are “havens of liberal indoctrination.” Fox News, he said, has “for years now” sought out stories “on so-called campus craziness, where something as minor as climate activists delaying the Harvard-Yale game gets a lengthy unpacking on ‘The Five.’”
“They live for this petty shit,” Oliver said, before highlighting a 2007 “Fox & Friends” appearance by Stephen Miller, now the Trump White House deputy chief of staff.
At the time, Miller was a senior at Duke University. He went on the show to complain that campus newspapers had refused to run an ad directing readers to a website that made inflammatory claims about Muslims.
Fox hosts “lapped it up,” Oliver said, replaying the segment where Miller was asked, “Are you a college kid?” Miller replied, “Yeah, I’m a senior at Duke University,” before receiving the compliment, “You are smart.”
