Jimmy Kimmel's Wife Reveals Extreme Outcome Of Rift With Her Trump-Loving Family
HuffPost
Molly McNearney, the co-head writer and executive producer of "Jimmy Kimmel Live," bared her soul about the MAGA split in her family.
Molly McNearney, Jimmy Kimmel’s wife and the executive producer of his talk show, said she has “lost” relationships with family members who support Donald Trump. (Watch the video below.)
Kimmel’s defiance of the president continues to cause a massive “strain,” she added.
“It hurts me so much because of the personal relationship I now have where my husband is out there fighting this man,” McNearney said on the “We Can Do Hard Things” podcast posted Thursday. “And to me, them voting for Trump is them not voting for my husband and me and our family. I unfortunately ... lost relationships with people in my family because of it.”
Kimmel’s taunting of the president took another turn when ABC parent company Disney yanked “Jimmy Kimmel Live” off the air in September under pressure from Trump’s Federal Communications Commission. The suspension sprang from remarks Kimmel made about slain activist Charlie Kirk. Trump gloated over Kimmel’s absence, which lasted several days and generated cries of censorship.
Kimmel has again ratcheted up his criticism of the president amid public protest against Trump’s authoritarian ways.
