Jharkhand Congress MLA Irfan Ansari on Wednesday claimed that one should not use face masks for a long time as it would be detrimental to health.
Congress MLA from Jharkhand's Jamtara, Irfan Ansari, has sparked a fresh row over the wearing of face masks, claiming that one should not use them for a long time as it would be detrimental to health.
Irfan Ansari, who, he claimed, is an MBBS doctor, said that excessive and prolonged use of masks leads to inhalation of carbon dioxide. "The same carbon dioxide that is exhaled goes in when the masks are used regularly," the MLA added.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
