JDS workers were detained for protesting against the BJP for not inviting the former CM Kumaraswamy to the foundation laying ceremony of a road.
Janata Dal (Secular) (JDS) workers were detained by the police in Channapatna district on Saturday during their protest against the ruling BJP.
The JDS workers were protesting over their leader, HD Kumaraswamy, not being invited to the foundation stone laying ceremony for road construction in Rampura village of Channapatna district.
JDS workers reached the site in huge numbers and protested against former minister and BJP leader CP Yogeshwar and current Higher Education Minister Ashwath Narayan for not inviting Kumaraswamy.
Police have detained JDS leaders protesting at the puja site.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
