The vice president admitted he sometimes has a hard time staying calm while parenting.
Every parent has to deal with their child’s tantrums at some point, but it’s a little different when you’re as visible as the vice president of the United States.
JD Vance admitted his patience as a parent can run thin on a Monday podcast episode hosted by Katie Miller, wife of Donald Trump’s White House deputy chief of staff, Stephen Miller.
After Miller asked Vance about his parenting, the veep freely admitted that his wife, Usha, seems to handle dealing with their three kids, ages 8, 5 and 3, better than he does.
“Usha and I handle it very differently,” Vance said before relating a story about a woman they met in an airport who said she was a child therapist and praised his wife for the way she interacted with their son in public.
“It is amazing,” Vance conceded. “She’s super patient. She’ll try to reason with them.”
