Jarkiholi sex scandal: Complainant withdraws case, says victim's image being spoilt

Social activist Dinesh Kalahalli has decided to withdraw his complaint against former minister Ramesh Jarkiholi in the sex-for-job scam case. Kalahalli's lawyer has claimed that the victim's image is being spoilt on social media and the decision has been taken to stop that from happening further.

In a new twist in the Ramesh Jarkiholi CD case, social activist Dinesh Kalahalli has now decided to withdraw his complaint against the former minister who was facing charges of sexual harassment. The social activist sent a letter through his lawyer to the Cubbon Park police station to formally withdraw the case. His lawyer Kumar Patil said that he has met the station house officer (SHO) and handed over a letter from Dinesh Kalahalli requesting to withdraw the complaint. He also claimed that his client will not bow to any political pressure since he is a social activist fighting for the rights of people in need. "His aim was to provide the girl justice, but on social media, her image is being spoilt. To stop this from happening further, he has decided to withdraw the case," the lawyer said.
