Jana Sena Party wants to strengthen base in Srikakulam district, say the party leaders
The Jana Sena Party(JSP) high command wants to strengthen the party in Srikakulam district and gave nominated posts for the party leaders, who worked sincerely prior to the 2024 general elections. The party won Palakonda Assembly seat in the erstwhile Srikakulam district in the election and now wants to strengthen the party at the grass-root level.
As a first step, the party identified important leaders and gave them nominated posts. The NDA government, in which JSP is a constituent party, made industrialist Korikana Ravikumar as the chairperson of Srikakulam Urban Development Authority (SUDA). Another leader Palavalasa Yeshaswini was given the Kapu Corporation chairperson’s post.
Mr. Ravikumar who belonged to Turpu Kapu community played a key role in ensuring victory of JSP candidate Nimmaka Jayakrishna in Palakonda Assembly constituency. The JSP high command is hopeful that he would strengthen the party in Srikakulam, Pathapatnam, Palakonda and other places where the community has a strong presence.
Mr. Ravikumar said that the party would gain further strength in the near future. “Many neutral persons are interested to join the party as they are all happy with the clean image and ideology of Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan. The party’s new image would benefit JSP candidates in the next local body elections,” he said.
JSP Srikakulam district president Pisini Chandramohan said that the joining of top leaders and allocation of nominated posts would boost the morale of second-rung leaders and activists in the district. He said that the people of Srikakulam district had a special attachment with Mr. Pawan Kalyan’s whose initiative in 2018-19 made the government to screen one lakh people in Uddanam region and construction of hospitals and establishment of dialysis centres for the benefit of kidney patients.
