
Jaishankar meets Czech Members of European Parliament; discusses India's ties with EU, Indo-Pacific

External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar met with a delegation of Czech Members of European Parliament on Sunday, June 5.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar on Sunday held a meeting with a delegation of Czech Members of European Parliament and they had a “good discussion” on India's ties with the EU and the Czech Republic, the Indo-Pacific, food and energy security and digital cooperation.
Jaishankar is here on the last leg of his two-nation tour to Slovakia and the Czech Republic to impart further momentum in ties with the two central European countries.
The Czech Republic will be taking over the European Union presidency from July 1.
He arrived in Prague on Saturday from the Slovakian capital Bratislava.

In Prague, he began his engagements by meeting a delegation of Czech Members of European Parliament (MEPs) Jan Zahradil, Tomá Zdechovský, Mikulá Peksa and Veronika Vrecionová.
“Began my engagements in Prague by meeting a delegation of Czech MEPs. A good discussion on India's ties with EU and the Czech Republic, the Indo-Pacific, food and energy security and digital cooperation,” Jaishankar said on Twitter.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.
