Jacqueline Fernandez has been allowed by the court to travel abroad to attend IIFA.

Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has been allowed by the court to travel abroad to attend the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards. The actress can travel to Abu Dhabi between May 31 to June 6.

The actress was banned from leaving India by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as she is being investigated by the agency in the Rs 200-crore extortion case involving conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar.

Jacqueline Fernandez had sought permission from a Delhi court to travel to Abu Dhabi to attend the IIFA awards. She had later withdrawn her application to travel abroad after the ED informed the court that the reasons cited by her to travel to foreign countries are false.

On May 28, the court allowed the actress to travel to Dubai for IIFA awards.

In December last year, the actress, who is being probed by the ED, was stopped by the immigration authorities at the Mumbai International Airport from going outside the country based on a look-out circular (LoC) issued against her by the ED.

Recently, Jacqueline’s assets worth Rs 7.27 crore were attached by the ED. It is alleged that conman Sukesh Chandrashekhar sent gifts worth crores to Jacqueline Fernandez using the money he extorted from a Delhi businessman’s wife.
