The Delhi Police put out an advisory for this year’s festive season but put a spin on its advice asking people to report suspicious activities. Assuming Amrish Puri’s character in the film Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge, the advisory said, “Jaa Simran jaa” but continued it by asking people to report any suspicious activities to the police.
The advisory asked people to be careful during the festive season and cooperate with the Delhi Police in reducing crime by acting as their eyes and ears.
It also asked people to verify the identity of any stranger if they are being given a room as a guest or a tenant.
The Delhi Police advisory comes even as the nation celebrates Durga Puja and gears up for Diwali celebrations.
