Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha visited the construction site of the DRDO's 500-bed Covid hospital at Khonmoh in Srinagar.
Jammu and Kashmir lieutenant governor Manoj Sinha on Sunday inspected the construction of the Defence Research and Development Organisation’s (DRDO) 500- bed Covid hospital at Khonmoh in the semi-rural area in Srinagar district. During his visit, the Lt Governor toured the facility and inquired about the Covid care facilities, including the availability of ICU beds, triage, medical equipment, doctors, paramedics, and other services available to patients. While reviewing the project's progress, LG Sinha directed the DRDO and district officials to expedite the pace of work so that a trial run of all facilities can be conducted by June 5.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
