
J&K: Indian Army hosts 'Iftar Milan' in Kishtwar, 167 attend

The Indian Army on Saturday hosted 'Iftar Milan' in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district, with 167 people in attendance.
With an aim to foster and reinforce the spirit of peace and communal harmony in the region, the Indian Army on Saturday organised "Iftar Milan" at Navapachchi village in Jammu and Kashmir's Kishtwar district.
The event provided a platform for locals of all religions and walks of life to interact on common issues and celebrate the auspicious month of Ramadan with the noble goal of strengthening the bond between locals and the army.
A total of 167 locals gathered for the "Iftar Milan" to pray, eat, and converse.
The local populace and community leaders expressed their hope that such events would improve communal harmony in the region and that locals and jawans would work together for the betterment of society and the region.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.
