J&K Delimitation Commission speeds up work, may revisit UT soon

The Delimitation Commission has started receiving regular updates on demography, terrain, population distribution, people's aspirations and problems from the district commissioners in J&K.

Work in the Delimitation Commission on Jammu and Kashmir is picking pace and its members may soon revisit the Union territory, source said. The Commission has started receiving regular updates from district commissioners. The Commission's primary task is to map constituencies based on "physical features, existing boundaries of administrative units, facilities of communication and public convenience".
