Five terrorists, including top Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) commander Zahid Wani, were killed overnight in dual encounters in Jammu and Kashmir's Budgam and Pulwama districts, police said on Sunday.

Kashmir’s inspector general of police Vijay Kumar said that top JeM commander Zahid Wani and a Pakistani terrorist were among those militants killed by security forces in the last 12 hours.

Zahid Wani was involved in the Letpura IED incident in which more then 40 CRPF cadres had died on 14 February 2019.
Zahid was neutralised along with a Pakistani terrorist identified as Wahid Ahmed Rishi and two local cadres-- Kafeel alias Chhota Pakistani JeM and Inayatullah Mir.
