Doha, Qatar: In the presence of 120 students from Al-Furqan Primary, Preparatory, and Secondary Schools, the Sheikh Abdulla Bin Zaid Al Mahmoud Islamic Cultural Center organised the “Be Our Friend” programme, which aims to introduce school students to the nature of the Center’s work.
This comes as part of the Center’s efforts to strengthen its connection with the local community and to serve as an active partner in promoting Islamic culture.
During the programme, representatives of the Center spoke about its most prominent activities and areas of specialisation, ways in which students can cooperate with the Center, and the key outcomes of its work.
These outcomes are reflected in preserving community security, reinforcing Qatari identity, and building bridges of understanding between Qatari society and visitors and non-Arabic-speaking residents.
The students actively engaged with the programme’s activities and expressed their appreciation for the Center’s work and the important role it plays in introducing non-Arab residents and visitors to Qatari and Islamic culture, as well as its efforts to familiarise non-Arab Muslims with the true teachings of Islam.
