Washington: Microsoft announced that it will permanently stop supporting the Office Lens app, known as Microsoft Lens, on iOS and Android.
The company stated that it will remove the app from the App Store and Google Play on February 9 and will no longer be operational on March 9.
This comes following the merging of scanning features within OneDrive, which allows users to capture documents and convert them to PDF, DOCX and PPT.
Microsoft confirmed that the new features in OneDrive provide the same functions of Office Lens while also enhancing file management and cloud merging to ease document follow-ups and minimise the need for an independent application.
