Doha, Qatar: Qatar Red Crescent Society (QRCS) has signed contracts with a new group of Palestinian doctors approved for H H the Amir’s Scholarship Program for Postgraduate Medical Studies in Qatar and honoured doctors who successfully completed their subspecialty programmes during 2025.
This initiative is part of Qatar’s ongoing support for the Palestinian people and the product of constructive and collaborative efforts made by QRCS, Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC), Palestine’s Ministry of Health (MoH), and Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS).
The ceremony, held at HMC’s Itqan Clinical Simulation and Innovation Center, was attended by Palestinian Ambassador to Qatar H E Fayez Majed Abu Al-Rub; Secretary-General of QRCS Faisal Mohamed Al-Emadi; QRCS board members Dr. Mohamed Johar Al-Mohamed, Abdullah Hamed Al-Mulla, and Ahmed Abdul-Rahman Al-Mulla; Acting Assistant Managing Director of HMC Ali Al-Janahi; Deputy Chief Medical Officer for Medical Education at HMC Dr. Abdullah Rashid Al-Naimi; Medical Director of Hamad General Hospital Dr. Yousef Al-Maslamani; Assistant Secretary-General for Volunteering and Local Development at QRCS Hussain Aman Al-Ali; and Chief Ambassador of QRCS Yousef Mohamed Al-Awadi.
The programme is a long-term strategic initiative launched by QRCS in 2003, with the generous support of H H the Father Amir, to embody Qatar’s vision of supporting the Palestinian people and building their capacity based on solid underlying scientific and professional grounds.
It enables Palestinian doctors to complete their higher academic and clinical education in significant medical specialties, helping back Palestine’s health care system, enhance its institutional capacity, and meet the shortage in qualified medical professionals.
