
International flight ops to return to normalcy soon: Civil aviation secretary

International flight operations — that were earlier restricted till November 30 — may return to normalcy soon, said Civil Aviation Secretary Rajiv Bansal.
Civil Aviation Secretary Rajiv Bansal on Wednesday, November 24, said international flight operations are expected to return to normal soon. “We expect normalcy to return in international flight operations very soon,” he was quoted as saying by ANI.
The Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) on October 29 had extended the suspension of scheduled international commercial passenger flights till November 30. The DGCA notice, however, stated that the restrictions would not apply to international all-cargo operations and flights specifically approved by DGCA.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
