Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) on Friday demolished illegal construction in the backlanes of residential buildings in Kalani Nagar area.
Intensifying its drive against encroachments around the city, Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) on Friday demolished illegal construction in the backlanes of residential buildings in Kalani Nagar area.
IMC had reached the location with police personnel to carry out the demolition work.
According to a report published in the Free Press Journal, Zone No 16 building inspector Vaibhav Devlase said Ward No 16, where people had encroached upon backlanes, four toilets, two rooms and a boundary constructed illegally were demolished."
Bestowed with the title of the cleanest city in the country for five times in a row, the move to raze illegal construction in the city comes ahead of a central team's visit.
The survey team is likely to visit the city next week to assess its cleanliness standards under Swachhata Survekshan 2022.
