Indians were thrown out of trains: UP student narrates ordeal after evacuation from Ukraine's Kharkiv

A UP resident, who was stranded in Ukraine's Kharkiv, recalled how Indian nationals were “thrown out of trains” when they went to the station for evacuation.
A family in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi celebrated the safe return of their son from war-torn Ukraine. Pramod Kumar, a resident of Chak Manikpur Shayyad Raje village of Saini Kotwali area, managed to flee Kharkiv and return home safe on Friday night.
While Pramod and his family are clearly relived that he was able to escape, Pramod is deeply worried about the situation in Ukraine and about the evacuation of stranded Indians in the country.

Speaking to India Today about his ordeal as he escaped from Kharkiv, Pramod got emotional. Kharkiv, one of the biggest cities in Ukraine, has been under heavy attack by Russian forces.
Pramod was enrolled in a MBBS programme at VN Karazin Kharkiv National University. When Russia announced war on Ukraine, Indian residents in the country sought to evacuate as soon as possible.

Pramod claimed that the students in Kharkiv were left to their own devices. He also alleged that the Indian nationals were “kicked out of trains” in Ukraine as they joined thousands who sought to flee the city amidst escalating Russian attacks.
