
Indian Air Force renews support contract with Lockheed Martin for C-130J Super Hercules

The Indian Air Force awarded a $328.8 million, five-year contract to Lockheed Martin to provide dedicated and comprehensive support for its fleet of 12 C-130J Super Hercules aircraft.
The Indian Air Force (IAF) has renewed its contract with US-based arms manufacturer Lockheed Martin for another five years to provide dedicated and comprehensive support for its fleet of 12 C-130J Super Hercules aircraft. Lockheed Martin is the original equipment manufacturer of the C-130Js, which is the tactical airlifter of choice for 26 operators in 22 nations. Through this contract, Lockheed Martin will manage the program, logistics and engineering support elements necessary to sustain the IAF’s C-130J fleet.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
