With fresh cases, the overall tally has mounted to 2,71,57,795, according to the data released by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Wednesday morning. India also reported 4,157 more deaths due to the infection, pushing the nationwide toll to 3,11,388. Meanwhile, there are a total of 24,95,591 active Covid-19 cases in the country and 2,43,50,816 people have recovered from the disease.
