India-Russia partnership steady & strong: Jaishankar

India and Russia are set to ink a number of pacts to expand cooperation in key areas of defence, trade and investment, energy and technology at the summit.
The India-Russia partnership is unique and has remained remarkably steady and strong in a world of rapid geopolitical changes, External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar said on Monday during bilateral talks with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov.
Mr. Lavrov and Russian Defence Minister arrived here on Sunday night to hold the inaugural '2+2' dialogue with their Indian counterparts.
Ahead of the '2+2' dialogue, Mr. Jaishankar and Mr. Lavrov held bilateral talks.
With increased terminal entry points (eGates) at Mumbai International airport from 24 to 68, which is the highest number of e-gates at kerbside or landside in the country, the expansion will enhance the airport’s processing capacity to an astounding 7,440 passengers per hour at Terminal 2 (T2) and 2,160 at T1
