CBI has issued a lookout notice against Bijay Mishra in connection with a case of alleged cross-border cattle-smuggling. Bijay is the brother of Binay Mishra, a close confidante of Trinamool Congress leader Abhishek Bannerjee. The approach to seek a Red Corner Notice against Binay Mishra from Interpol is being considered, officials said on Saturday. After he failed to appear before the CBI for questioning at least four times, Binay Mishra was shown as absconding in the agency's supplementary chargesheet filed before a special CBI court in Asansol. The CBI has issued summonses to an inspector general (IG) and a superintendent of police (SP) of West Bengal Police, asking them to appear before the agency on Monday in connection with the case.More Related News
