Overcome with shame and regret over slapping her five-year-old brother, a 10-year-old girl committed suicide in an Agra village. The girl lived with her elder sister and two younger siblings in the Pratap Pura village of the Fatehabad Tehsil of Agra. They had lost their mother recently, while their father had disappeared several years back. A neighbour told Indiatoday.in that the girl had fought with her younger brother and had slapped him on the evening of March 13. In shock over slapping her brother whom she loved so much, the girl hanged herself inside the house. The older sister, who worked in a garments shop in the village, was not at home at that time.
