Karnataka has reported 41,457 new Covid cases and 20 deaths on Tuesday. The state's test-positivity rate now stands at over 22%.
In a massive spike, Karnataka has reported 41,457 new Covid cases and 20 deaths on Tuesday. On Monday, Karnataka had reported 27,156 Covid cases. Among the 41,000 cases, Bangalore alone has reported 25,595 cases. The state's test positivity rate now stands at 22.3%. The state has also reported 8,353 discharges in 24 hours.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
