II PUC annual exams commence in Karnataka with over 710,000 students at 1,217 centers, ensuring strict security and support services.
The first annual examination for II PU students started at 1,217 examination centers across the state on Saturday. On the first day, the Kannada and Arabic language exams are being held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
All examination centres were crowded, with parents dropping their children and students busy with last-minute preparations.
A total of 710,363 students from 5,174 PU colleges in the state have registered for the exam being conducted by the Karnataka School Examination and Assessment Board (KSEAB).
To avoid malpractices, KSEAB is web streaming the examination process from all centres. The Board has maintained tight police security at all examination centers. Prohibitory orders have been imposed around all examination centres.
The Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC), Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC), and other public transport corporations have provided free bus services for II PU students.

Kerala has historically served as a bridge between the east and the west. It is time we ceased being merely a bridge — and started being the destination. A destination where the best of the world is adapted, improved, and offered back to humanity with a distinctly Malayali touch, writes Shashi Tharoor.
