
Hyderabad: Two drug peddlers and eight consumers held, 6kg ganja seized

The Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (HNEW) along with Amberpet police arrested two drug peddlers and eight consumers and seized 6kg of ganja from their possession.
Hyderabad Police arrested two drug dealers, eight consumers and seized six kilograms of ganja from their possession.
According to a report published in The Times of India (TOI), the Hyderabad Narcotics Enforcement Wing (HNEW) along with Amberpet police made the arrests.
The accused were identified as Dhan Raj Singh (40) and Rahul Singh (20), both residents of Mangalhat, involved in selling drugs, while eight others - Imran Khan (26), Vinay Sunary (22), K Bhanu Prasad (19), R Tarun (20), K Prashanth (23), M Nikhith (22), Y Pawan (21) and K Pawan Kumar (22), were customers.
“Rahul procured ganja from Shiva Kumar of Visakhapatnam. Rahul used to sell the contraband to Dhan Raj and he used to sell the same to customers by packing them in small sachets," police said, as reported by TOI.
Police seized 6kg ganja and also seized two bikes, nine mobile phones and Rs 2,500 from their possession.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
